Just after 7:30 Thursday evening 911 received a call of a shooting near the intersection of Highway 317 and FM 2601 in Moody.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found that a young man, about 20, had shot himself and ran from the area.

Bell County Sheriff's Office along with a DPS helicopter have been searching for the suspect for several hours with no luck, but are continuing to look.

The suspect's family has several properties around the area that have all been search vigorously.
