The game was tight from start to finish. MCC built a nine-point lead
midway through the first half but Southwestern Christian rallied to take
the 33-31 advantage at halftime.
The Rams extended the lead to
six early in the second half. The Highlanders rallied to tie the game at
49 with 12:13 remaining in the game. MCC used a 10-3 run in the next
six minutes to pull away. The Highlanders led 67-56 with 1:30 to play.
Southwestern Christian began to chip away at the lead and pulled within
two points with 3.3 seconds remaining. MCC inbounded the ball and Tevin
Hanner slammed down a dunk at the buzzer to secure the win.

Reed led MCC with 16 points and D.J. Weathers added 15, all from behind
the arc. Shawn Prudhomme and DeChriston McKinney added 14 and 11,
respectively, to round out the Highlanders in double figures.
