(KCEN) -- It's not too late to get some free food and support a great cause.
IHOP is celebrating National Pancake Day today and giving away short stacks for free.
This is their busiest day of the year.
In exchange for the pancakes, they will accept donations which will support Shriners Children's Hospitals around Texas.
This is the 6th year they've sponsored the food-frenzied event.
IHOP Area Director Bill James said, "On an annual basis IHOP contributes from these donations about 3 million dollars a year. We do very well with the National Pancake Day but we actually begin collecting donations with our servers a month prior to the event."
They began giving away free pancakes at 7 this morning and will continue until 10 o'clock tonight.
