(KCEN) -- We all know of the school fire drill but now schools have to worry about another kind of drill.
Police simulated a school shooting on a campus in Modesto, Cali.
In the drill, a gunman targeted a lunchtime school crowd on campus and injured some 20 students who were covered in fake blood.
After a simulated 9-1-1 call was made, the SWAT team moved in and took down the shooter.
The drill was designed to help prevent a repeat of the Sandy Hook massacre that happened in Newtown, Conn.
The shooting scenario drew criticism by some who felt the Sandy Hook shooting was still too fresh on everyone's minds.
