
Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's basketball team
is ranked second in the South Region in the first NCAA Division III
Regional Rankings of the season released today.
Hampden-Sydney is ranked #1 in this week's ranking. Christopher Newport
is ranked third and UMHB's American Southwest Conference rival
Concordia Texas is ranked fourth in the region.
The NCAA
Regional Rankings are used to determine seedings and selections for the
NCAA Division III National Championships. This is the first publicly
released regional ranking of the 2012-13 season and there should be two
more publicly released rankings before the end of the season.
The Cru is currently 18-3 overall and 14-1 in ASC play. The Cru will host Schreiner University for a 7:30 PM tip-off tomorrow night at the Mayborn Campus Center. UMHB will then close out the week with a 3:00 PM home game against Texas Lutheran University Saturday.
