(KCEN) -- A high-speed chase turned deadly when an SUV that was too full plunged into a pond while trying to get away from police.
It happened in Floresville, near San Antonio.
That's where police tried to pull over an SUV with a broken light.
But when the cop got out of his car, the vehicle sped away.
Not long after that the driver lost control, crashed through three gates and ended up in a stock tank full of water.
A total of 13 people were in the vehicle when it crashed.
Three people were found dead inside the vehicle.
Ten others escaped unharmed.
All of them are believed to be from Guatemala and in the country illegally.
The survivors are now in the custody of immigration agents.
