The game was close throughout the first half with neither team gaining
more than a four-point lead. MCC held the 28-24 lead at halftime.
The
Highlanders opened the second half on a 9-2 run and extended the lead
to 12 with 15:30 to go in the game. Temple rallied, tying the game at 56
with just over four minutes to play. MCC ended the game on 13-2 run,
including going 8-10 from the free throw line in the final two minutes
to seal the win.
D.J. Weathers led the Highlanders with 19 points. Tevin Hanner and Shawn Prudhomme added 16 and 10, respectively.
