(KCEN) -- Los Angeles officials are offering a million-dollar reward for the capture of Christopher Dorner.
The former LAPD officer is accused of killing three people in a revenge plot against the department.
A state wide manhunt for Dorner has been going on for a week now.
Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa says, "We will not tolerate anyone undermining the security, the tranquility of our neighborhoods and our communities."
The reward is believed to be the largest local reward ever offered.
The money is being pooled from businesses, unions, police and government agencies.
Dorner says he was unfairly terminated from the department following a disciplinary hearing in 2009.
