(KCEN) -- President Obama will lay out his second term agenda Tuesday night during the State of The Union Address.
The president's annual speech is expected to lay the groundwork for his next for years.
In addition he will also set the stage for the upcoming spending showdown over the deficit.
Democrats and republicans have till March first to reach a deal otherwise deep, automatic spending cuts kick in.
The president's address will be followed by two responses from tea party republicans Senators Marco Rubio and Rand Paul.
