(KCEN) -- Three people are dead after a gunman opened fire in a Delaware courthouse lobby this morning.

It started around 8 when the gunman opened fire, killing two women.

Then he exchanged fire with police.

At some point the man was hit by gunfire, but it is still unclear whether the man shot himself or was killed by police.

Two officers were injured, but are expected to be OK.

The suspect's name has not yet been released, but he's described as a 50 to 60-year-old white male.

Police do not believe this was a random shooting.
