Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's basketball player Jovana Miles has been named American Southwest Conference Co-West Division Player of the Week for the week ending February 10th. Miles, a junior post from Luling High School, posted back-to-back double-doubles to help lead the UMHB women to a 2-0 record during the week.

Miles opened the week with 18 points and 13 rebounds in a victory over Schreiner University before following up with a 17-point, 14-board performance in a win over Texas Lutheran to close out the week. She shot 48 percent from the field and added five steals as the Cru women clinched a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament. Miles shares this week's honor with Alexis Popelar of Hardin-Simmons University.

The UMHB women are 7-15 overall and 6-11 in ASC play. The Cru women have won five of their last seven games to earn a trip to the conference tournament. UMHB will close out the regular season with home games against Howard Payne University and Sul Ross State University this week.
