(KCEN) -- A new strain of SARS has hit the Middle East.
And researchers say the deadly virus can spread from person to person and country to country.
The virus causes severe respiratory illness, fever and cough.
So far only 11 cases have been reported with the majority of the victims in the Middle East.
Five of those people have died. Surviving patients spent a significant amount of time in the hospital.
For now experts say the risk of infection is still very low.
