Two airlines will officially merge today, creating the world's largest airline.

American Airlines and US Airways approved the merger Wednesday night.

It will be announced that the carrier will keep the American Airlines name but will be run by US Airways CEO Doug Parker.

American Airline's CEO Tom Horton will become the chairman of the new company.

The new airline will have more than 3,000 flights... 900 planes... and 95,000 employees.
