UPS Expects to Move 500,000 Extra Packages for Valentine's Day

(KCEN) -- Drivers for UPS will be busy playing Cupid all day today.

Thousands of boxes of flowers are moving along the conveyor belts at the main UPS airline hub in Louisville, Kentucky.

UPS officials say they move about 500,000 extra packages for Valentine's.

The packages contain everything from chocolates, strawberries, teddy bears, lobsters and even ice cream. But as you can imagine, a large number of the boxes contain flowers.

In the days before Valentine's Day, UPS will deliver more than 95 million stems of flowers.
