(KCEN) -- Waco will soon be a better place to live for hunters and fisherman.
Cabela's Sporting Goods will break ground on a superstore next month in the Central Texas Marketplace.
It will be over 40,000 square feet in size.
And this store is expected to bring millions of dollars to Waco and central Texas.
Central Texans are excited to hear the sporting goods store is coming to the area.
With his cowboy hat on everywhere he goes, Bill Biles says he hunts and fishes whenever he can.
Once he got word that a Cabela's was coming to Waco, he smiled, big time.
Biles said, "This will bring more traffic to us and the Central Texas Marketplace."
If it has to do with the outdoors, Cabela's has it.
With aisles of boats, guns and ATVs, this sporting goods store is overwhelming for an outdoorsman.
The Cabela's coming to Waco will be an outpost store. It won't be as big as the 230,000 square foot location in Fort Worth.
But Cabela's believes that central Texans are now the best target.
The store will be built in between Best Buy and Kohl's. They're expected to hire a hundred new people. And it'll be the fourth location in the state.
Christina Collins of the Waco Chamber of Commerce says Cabela's could not only open the door to more popular retail, but real estate as well.
She said, "When those people look at the Marketplace, it will create a lot of activity. We always like to say that activity brings activity and this will open that for this arena."
Cabela's plans to open sometime this fall.
Everything for the outdoors, soon to be in our Waco backyard.
Cabela's said that during their grand opening they won't cut the ribbon with scissors, but rather a bow and arrow.
