(KCEN) -- Veterans all over the country got a special Valentine's Day salute.

It's a special show of love and appreciation that goes out to our great American heroes every year.

Yesterday Miss Texas 2012, Danae Couch, and hundreds of volunteers passed out balloons and presents to veterans at the VA hospital in Waco.

They said it was the least they could do for those who were willing to give all for them.

The veterans got the message loud and clear.

Couch said, "The veterans give so much it's just really incredible."

After their stop in Waco, the volunteers made their way to the Temple VA hospital to spread a little more much deserved love.
