
(KCEN) -- It's a new law that has many people worried about their privacy.
President Obama approved legislation that is expected to immediately increase the use of domestic surveillance drones in the U.S.
Meantime today a House subcommittee held a hearing in Washington.
The purpose of the meeting was to regulate the use of those drones.
Members of the House Science Subcommittee on Oversight are worried about homeland security intruding on people's lives.
Gerald Dillingham, Dir.of GAO Civil Aviation Issues said, "No matter what kind or technology is out there for good, there will be some who find a way to misuse that technology."
A Texas lawmaker has filed a bill to outlaw the use of drones by individuals or law enforcement in our state.
It's expected to go up for a vote sometime in this year's legislative session.
