
WACO, Texas – The 18th-ranked Baylor men's tennis team will be back in action with matches against Texas Pan-American (1-4) at 11 a.m. and UT Arlington (1-1) at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
BU (3-1) is undefeated at home this season and coming off a 6-1 win over No. 69 Purdue at home on Saturday.
Baylor currently has three singles players ranked in the latest ITA listings. Marko Krickovic, Julian Lenz, and Mate Zsiga come into the match ranked No. 56, 59, and 76, respectively.
The Bears will start the day with a match against the Broncs of UT-Pan American, who dropped a 6-1 decision in their last match out against Nicholls State University.
Baylor will be the third Division 1 opponent the Broncs have faced this season as they started the season with matchups against No. 29 Texas Tech and No. 54 Rice. UTPA's only win of the season came against Laredo Community College by a score of 4-3 on Feb 1.
The Bears are 12-10 overall against the Broncs, but have claimed the last seven matches in the series, including a 7-0 victory in their last meeting on March 10, 2011.
BU will take to the court again at 3 p.m. to face UT Arlington. The Mavericks come in to the match with a 1-1 overall record and a 6-1 victory over Cameron in their last match out.
This will mark the 15th meeting between the Bears and the Mavericks with Baylor leading 11-3 in the series.
Following this weekend's matches with UT Arlington the Bears will travel to take on North Florida on Feb. 21 in Jacksonville, Fla.
