
Courtesy KBTX Media(KCEN) UPDATE 6:00 PM. -- Lt. Greg Pickard who was previously listed in critical condition is now dead as a result of injuries sustained in last night's fire.
The announcement was made just this afternoon by Bryan Fire Chief Randy McGregor.
Fifty-four-year-old Pickard was a 32 year veteran of the department.

(KCEN) UPDATE 5:45 P.M. -- Funeral arrangements for Lt. Eric Wallace will be held Thursday the 21st, at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Bryan.
The funeral procession will immediately follow the service with the burial at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.
Governor Perry has authorized the lowering of the Texas flag to half staff by all governmental entities in the area in honor of Lt. Wallace.
Meanwhile, Lt. Greg Pickard who was also injured in the fire is in critical condition.
Firefighters Ricky Mantey and Mitch Moran are stable and being treated for burns.

(KCEN) -- A Bryan firefighter is killed and three others injured in the line of duty late last night.
Thirty-six-year-old Lieutenant Eric Wallace died from injuries he sustained inside a burning building.
Fire crews say just after eleven the Knight's of Columbus Hall went up in flames.
Lieutenant Wallace and his crew were inside that building when something went wrong and they tried to evacuate.
Three firefighters who went back inside to save Wallace were injured and taken to a burn center.
Lt. Wallace was a twelve year veteran of the Bryan Fire Department.
He leaves behind his wife and five children.
The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
