(KCEN) -- We have an update on the disaster aboard the Carnival Cruise Ship Triumph.
Tonight a team of investigators in Alabama are looking into the cause of that engine room fire that left the ship stranded at sea for days.
Investigators and engineers will spend days on board trying to figure out what went wrong.
The ship's engine will be the main focus.
It caught fire causing the ship to lose power and propulsion.
According to Jimmy Lyons of the Alabama Port Authority, "Everything; back up power systems. You know, where the redundancies worked, what didn't work. What can be done to make sure it doesn't happen again is the real important answer."
And while we've all heard the horror stories many passengers onboard say one thing that didn't fail them, was the ship's wonderful and hardworking crew.
