UPDATE (KCEN) -- The construction worker, who is only identified as man in his late 20s, has been rescued from the 20 foot hole he fell into this morning at Loop 363 in Temple.
The call came in at about 8:30 this morning. Temple Fire and Rescue responded and the man was lifted out of the hole just after 10 o'clock.
Apparently the man was descending a ladder when he fell. He then had to be lifted out as he was unable to climb the ladder on his own.
Temple Fire and Rescue Public Information Officer Thomas Pechal said the man was conscious the entire time.
The man suffered non life-threatening injuries and was transported by ground to Scott & White for evaluation.
It is not clear yet how he fell into the hole.
