(KCEN) -- A huge crowd packed Saint Peter's Square at the Vatican yesterday for one of Pope Benedict's final Sunday prayer services.
The 85-year-old pope announced last week he'll be stepping down on February 28 due to, "advancing age."
The Vatican estimated a crowd of more than 50,000 people but local authorities say it was most likely twice that amount.
The pope tweeted a message to followers worldwide, calling on them to, "rediscover faith" as a foundation.
