(KCEN) -- Pieces of presidential history got auctioned off in Massachusetts in honor of President's Day today.
One bidder spent $629,000 on an Air Force One bomber jacket, which was owned by former president John F. Kennedy.
That was one of more than 700 pieces auctioned off.
Other lots included documents, photographs, letters and gifts.
They all come from the estate of David Powers, a longtime friend and assistant of JFK.
Powers was also the curator of the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum until his retirement in 1994.
