(KCEN) -- There is now an update on the man accused of killing 20 children last month in Connecticut.
The 20-year-old gunman was reportedly obsessed with mass murders.
This follows an earlier report that Adam Lanza may have been trying to outdo Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian man who killed 77 people in 2011.
Lanza supposed picked the Connecticut school on December 14 because it was the easiest target and had the largest cluster of people.
But Connecticut state police say those reports are just speculation.
Hartford Courant Josh Kovner said, "I mean violent video games, graphically violent video games don't make you turn into violence if that's not your predisposition. But this kid had a lot going on and when it came time for him to carry out this terrible rampage, he did it in the way he was accustomed to."
Much of the new evidence was apparently found in Lanza's bedroom, in the Newtown home he shared with his mother Nancy Lanza, his first victim.
