(KCEN) -- Hundreds of uniformed men and women from fire departments from across Texas lined the streets in Bryan today.
They all took part in a procession down Boonville Road to the Central Baptist Church.
It was to pay their respects to fallen Bryan firefighters Lt. Greg Pickard and Lt. Eric Wallace.
The two died from injuries they sustained fighting a fire Friday night at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bryan.
Following the procession, a public memorial service was held at the church to celebrate the lives of the two men.
Brazos County volunteer firefighters and departments from surrounding areas including Houston, Austin and San Marcos, among others, stepped up to cover shifts this week so Bryan firefighters could attend the services.
