(KCEN) -- Sony mad a big announcement last night. 

They revealed new details about their Playstation 4, slated for release later this year.

The new game system is focused on social gaming, which will allow players to spectate on other friends' game play sessions in real time.

It will also fully integrate Facebook into the Playstation experience.

Developers also say the PS4 will allow gamers to play purchased games while they're being downloaded.

The game system will hit store shelves during the holiday season.
