Nike Drops 'Blade Runner' From His Contract

(KCEN) -- Nike has dropped Oscar Pistorius, the "Blade Runner" accused murderer, from his contract.

In a statement today, Nike said, "We believe Oscar Pistorius should be afforded due process and we will continue to monitor the situation closely."

Nike had already pulled a TV ad featuring the sports star.

The so-called "Blade Runner" is charged with shooting and killing his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius has said he mistook his girlfriend for an intruder and accidentally shot her through the bathroom door.

That happened on Valentine's Day.
