38,000 Pounds of Pork Recalled

Smithfield Packing Company is recalling 38-thousand pounds of pork sausage.

The sausages were sold in 11 states and the District of Columbia and may have contained small pieces of plastic, likely from gloves.

The U.S. food Safety and Inspection service announced the recall Thursday.

The agency says the company discovered the problem after two consumer complaints.

There have been no reports of injuries.
