UPDATE: Texas A&M Alumni Center Cleared After Bomb Threat

UPDATE (KCEN) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with the bomb threat made against the Texas A&M alumni center today.

Former A&M employee Michael Francis Thomas, 43, was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat. He is being held in the Brazos County Jail.

Not only was he arrested for the bomb threat today, he is also a person of interest in the bomb threat against Kyle Field earlier this week. He has not been charged in that incident.

Thomas was originally arrested on a warrant for credit card abuse that was unrelated to the bomb threats.

UPDATE (KCEN) -- The alumni center has been cleared by authorities. The building has been reopened for normal operations.

(KCEN) -- According to a Texas A&M emergency Twitter account, the Clayton Williams Alumni Center has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

A Code Maroon has been issued after authorities were notified of the threat at 9:26 this morning.

Approximately 100 people were evacuated from the building. No other buildings are affected at this time.

The alumni center will remain closed until further notice. Authorities are still investigating.
