(KCEN) -- A developer is taking a new approach to meet the growing housing needs of one Texas city.
David Monnich of San Antonio is building 70 new apartments, using mostly recycled shipping containers.
He chose the south Texas city of Encinal for the project because of the extremely high demand for housing there.
Monnich says he'll also have a good chance to turn a profit since the container-based housing units are not expensive to produce.
