American Girl Fashion Show to Raise Money for Medical Equipment

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- If your child goes to the hospital, you probably want the latest equipment available to help.

One local group has a unique way to raise money for new surgical equipment.

It's an American Girl fashion show.

Parents and kids are invited to come and bring their own American girl dolls.

Seventy girls will model in the show, dressed like one of the American Girl dolls.

And the best part is they're all local patients.

Meredith Culp with the Scott & White Healthcare Foundation said, "We're also going to be able to highlight many of our patients who have just championed so many wonderful things. Whether it be cancer or have just had life changing surgery, we'll be able to highlight those patients and raise money for the pediatric surgical equipment."

They've already sold more than 500 tickets, but there's still a week left to buy yours.

The show runs three different times at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple.
