Pope Benedict Gives Final Public Prayer

(KCEN) -- Pope Benedict the 16th delivered his last public prayer this morning.

Standing at his window in St. Peter's Square the Pope blessed thousands of spectators below.

The 85-year-old told the crowd he'll be taking up a life of prayer when he steps down on Thursday.

Rumors around the reason for the resignation include the cover up of a gay conclave.

The Vatican has denied these rumors.
