(KCEN) -- Speculation continues over whether Newtown shooter Adam Lanza was influenced by violent video games.
Some Central Texas parents shared their thoughts on children playing violent video games.
Parents at Land Sharks Gaming Center in Waco feel comfortable bringing their kids in.
They take game ratings very seriously, making sure they're family friendly.
They refuse to carry games that depict hate crimes, graphic criminal violence, and nudity like Grand Theft Auto.
When police searched Adam Lanza's room after the Newtown shooting, they found thousands of dollars worth of video games, including Call of Duty.
But to say that violent video games are the cause of these massacres might be jumping to conclusions.
As one of the most popular games, Call of Duty Black Ops has sold over 20-million copies.
Some parents say they have no problem with their kids playing Xbox as long as they know the difference between right and wrong.
Collin Cooper who has two boys ages 4 and 6 said, "If he's just playing and realizes it's just a game, it's fiction, and you keep it in the game. But if it seems like this is getting him in trouble at school, it's never going to happen."
Josh Williams said, "We have guys in here that after a match or two of something they're a little edgy, but it's also a competitive game. The same way a football player is edgy after he lost a game."
