(KCEN) -- Temple Fire and Rescue spent the early morning hours battling an apartment fire at the Ramona Courtyard Apartments, located at 500 Avenue G today.
A call about a fire was received at 3:26 a.m. and firefighters responded. Once on the scene, they saw smoke and flames coming from a single apartment.
Temple police officers were also there. They helped evacuate residents in adjoining apartment who were asleep while firefighters battled the flames.
Officials checked for victims and to see if the fire spread to any other units or to the attic.
The fire was under control by 3:44 a.m. Fire investigators found that all the residents were evacuated and accounted for.
The unit that caught on fire was unoccupied and had recently had renovations completed. It is believed the cause of the fire was electrical issues.
No injuries were reported.
The unoccupied unit had fire and smoke damage.
Two other residents will be relocated to other units so that their units can be cleaned after they received minor smoke damage.
