(KCEN) -- Stunning new information was released today about breast cancer rates in the U.S.
The number of young women being diagnosed with the disease is on the rise.
Researchers are finding more women ages 25 to 39 are being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The rate has actually gone up two percent each year since 1973.
These women typically have a worse prognosis because they are not routinely screened for the disease and are less likely to have health insurance.
