Pet Food Stamps Program Helps Families in Need Feed Their Animals

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Families facing hard times don't have to let their pets go hungry.

A new donation-based program called Pet Food Stamps can help people buy pet food and supplies.

The organization says the food stamps could help families avoid giving up their dog or cat because they can't afford to feed them.

The program is open to anyone in the U.S., but it is not run by the government.

And it could eventually expand to offer free or discount veterinary care.

If you would like more information about how the program works, or to sign up for the program, go to https://petfoodstamps.org/.
