U.S. Sends 60 Million in Aid to Syrian Rebels

The United States plans for the first time to provide 60 million in non-lethal battlefield assistance directly to Syrian rebels.

The aid includes food rations and medical supplies.

Secretary of State John Kerry made the announcement at a international press conference in Syria on Thursday.

The United Nation estimates over 70-thousand people have been killed since the uprising against Syria's president began nearly two years ago.
