(KCEN) -- A Florida man who disappeared into a sinkhole while sleeping in his bedroom is presumed dead.
His brother Jeremy Bush placed flowers near the family home today.
The episode happened Thursday night when Jeremy heard a loud crash and his brother, Jeff, screaming.
When rescue workers arrived they had to rescue Jeremy because the hole was growing.
As difficult as it's been Jeremy is thankful it wasn't worse.
"I thank you for what you all are doing. I thank the Lord for not taking my daughter and the rest of my family. Thank y'all," said Jeremy.
Listening devices dropped into the sinkhole have detected no sign of life.
Officials say it's growing and is now 20 feet deep and 30 feet wide.
