(KCEN) -- One panhandler in Oklahoma City is turning heads with a bizarre sign.
You might not see the sign at first especially if you get a green.
"I get a lot of people to laugh I worry about the ones that don't laugh," said Calvin McCraw. "Angry. Frustrated. Scream at a bum. 50 cents a minute. I'd rather get people to smile than get their money."
Driver Jessica Foster might have been late to work. Because of the bum at Penn and Memorial she doubled back for a picture.
"It was really creative. Something different. Made me laugh," said Foster.
McCraw said, "I had one girl who paid me to go over here and get a picture of her choking me."
McCraw came to Oklahoma from New Mexico to roughneck in the Oil Patch.
According to McCraw, "I got my hand in a table saw. Right now. I can't work. So."
He'll make thirty bucks today.
Giggles are a guarantee, a bag of food is a bonus.
When asked if he gets more when it's cold Calvin replied, "No. They don't want to roll down their window."
The sad reality for Calvin and the other homeless man peddling sympathy on the flip side of the interstate.
