Killeen Police battled a house fire early Monday morning that left a diner's patio significantly destroyed.
It happened just a little after 1 a.m., Killeen Fire Department responded to a call at the Old School Inn on Zephyr Road.
Crews had to use a saw to cut through the burglar bars on the front door to survey the damage inside.
Fire crews say the were worried the strong winds would carry the embers to the surrounding neighborhood but it was mostly contained to the back of the building by the patio.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
