Home Catches Fire, Resident Jumps Out Window and Flees

A house fire in Killeen leads one man to jump out a window and flee to a nearby restaurant.

It happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday on the 32 hundred block of Longview Drive.

When fire fighters arrived on scene they found a woman in the front yard who said her son was still inside the home.

After searching the home, crews found no one inside.

The injured man was found shortly after across the street at Jack in the Box after the restaurant called police.

He's in stable condition at Scott and White Hospital.

Six homes were evacuated but the residents have since returned to their homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
