American Red Cross Launches Tornado App

(KCEN) -- There will now be more lifesaving information right at your fingertips.

The American Red Cross has launched its official tornado app.

The app is free and available in English and Spanish.

It has several features including a high-pitched siren and tornado warning alert that signals people when a tornado warning has been issued in their area.

There is also a toolkit including a strobe light and one-touch "I'm safe" messaging to family and friends.

You can find the app in the Apple app store and Google play store.
