Augusta National Tries to Block Auctioning Off of Member Jackets

(KCEN) -- You can't auction off our jackets.

That's the word from the Augusta National Golf Club to a Dallas auction company.

The golf club is trying to block the sale of one of its iconic green jackets.

A hearing in the case took place yesterday in a Dallas district courtroom.

Stephon Pyles says he bought the 1959 jacket won by Art Wall through an online auction.

He is now trying to sell it through Heritage Auctions of Dallas.

The jackets can go for tens of thousands of dollars.

Augusta National says it owns the jacket since it was stolen from their clubhouse.
