Texas A&M Cadet Remains in Hospital After Crash That Killed Fellow Cadets

(KCEN) -- A Texas A&M cadet still in the hospital after two of her fellow cadets were killed in a fiery crash.

It happened around 3:30 Monday morning in Houston.

Police say a car going the wrong direction crashed head-on into an SUV. That SUV then burst into flames.

Eighteen-year-old Amy Pacheco and 18-year-old Miguel Hernandez died.

Both were freshmen cadets at A&M.

The driver of the car, 21-year-old Katie Thomas also died.

Cops think alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and found beer bottles inside the car.
