UPDATE 3/6 (KCEN) -- Firefighters are bringing in bulldozers to clear a line and cut fuel to the fire.

The fire is still smoldering but is 50% contained.

Everyone who had to be evacuated yesterday is back and no homes were damaged.

(KCEN) -- The fire at Iron Bridge Park, near Moody, has sparked back up after being extinguished earlier this morning.

The fire is covering about 100 acres right now.

According to scanner traffic, six or more homes are in danger this time. Homes near Buckhorn Cemetery and Cowan Road are being evacuated. Officials say nine families have been evacuated.

They were moved about a mile down the road from their homes. Evacuees were only given a couple of minutes to grab clothes, medicine and personal items.

A campground site about a mile away called Winkler Park has been evacuated because the fire is headed that way.

The fire burned more than 175 acres before it was extinguished. Several fire departments helped fight the blaze and finally received a break after the flames were gone.

High winds played a major role in the fire, causing it to spread quickly.

Investigators believe the fire originally started from a campfire that got out of control around 4 p.m. on Sunday.

No casualties have been reported because of the fire.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will post information as it becomes available.
