UPDATE (KCEN) -- The victim of the crash yesterday has been identified as Melissa Ann Fields, 33.
She was driving a 2003 Hyundai Elantra west on Olive when she was hit by a 2004 Ford Expedition, driven by 24-year-old Richard Angel Garcia.
Garcia was traveling south on 22nd Street and failed to yield the right-of-way to Fields.
When Garcia's Expedition hit Fields' Hyundai, Fields was thrown from the vehicle. Her body was sent for an autopsy.
Authorities are investigating the accident.

(KCEN) -- One person is dead after an accident in Waco yesterday evening.
It happened just before 6 p.m. on the 3300 block of North 22nd Street.
Two vehicles were involved and one of the drivers died upon impact.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Hillcrest for injuries.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident and have not released any more information.
