(KCEN) -- A Waco man accused of a gruesome attack is now indicted for aggravated assault.
Twenty-seven-year-old Richard Butler allegedly strangled and bit his mom in the face, causing a large cut to her nose.
Witnesses say he was under the influence of alcohol and synthetic marijuana.
Butler also held family members in a bedroom and wouldn't allow them to call police.
And once police were finally called by the man's 11-year-old daughter, Butler allegedly attacked a Waco police officer.
He bit the officer's index finger, crushing the bone and almost biting the tip of his finger off.
Butler was eventually tased and arrested.
