(KCEN) -- Despite a tough loss against Stanford back in November, there hasn't been a single team that's even come close to challenging Baylor this season.
However, today was a different story.
Once again, a packed house was on hand to watch Baylor jump out to a 17 point lead as Brittney Griner showed she was unstoppable once again, scoring 30 points for the 7th time this season and grabbing a team high 10 rebounds.
Lady Bears shot 53 percent from the field but it was turnovers that almost came back to haunt Baylor.
They committed a season high 24 turnovers, resulting in 27 points by Oklahoma State as the Cowgirls mounted a furious comeback, trailing by only three with one minute thirty-four seconds remaining.
Baylor kept cool as Jordan Madden knocked down a clutch three pointer with 38 seconds remaining as the Lady Bears survive 77-69.
After the game, the team was asked about their tough win.
Baylor Guard Odyssey Sims said, "We panicked a little bit on offense. I think we let Oklahoma State's defense speed us up on offense and we couldn't get the ball to Brittney so we were just standing around. No one took charge so I felt like we all stood around and we were waiting for that one person to step up."
Coach Kim Mulkey said, "We could of very easily lost today. Compliment Oklahoma State but they still lost. Jim Latell is not going to come in here and be all excited. Those kids played hard for him today. They could of very easily won and we could of very easily lost."
Baylor will look to become the first Big 12 team to win 3 consecutive tournament championships when they take on Iowa State tomorrow night at 7:00 P.M.
