(KCEN) -- From cakes to catering, wedding gowns to weight loss programs these days bridal expo's have it all.
But they can be tough to navigate through successfully.
Sara Jane Robinson just needs a cake and few other touches before she's ready for her wedding in July.
"It's a little bit crazy but you just have to stay calm," she said.
So for the first time all the vendors came to her at the Harris Community Center in Belton.
The bride's mother Jane Robinson said, "I just think this is absolutely wonderful to have all these people at one place where you can look at different venues and kind of get a feel for what you want."
But for some brides wedding expos can be just as overwhelming as planning a wedding so you've gotta be prepared.
According to Jeremy Allamon, Event Coordinator for Belton Parks and Recreation, "To get the best out of it is to go to every vendor and just talk to them. Tell them what you're wanting to do with your wedding, your day."
Rick Thomsson of Caliber Oak said, "Ask what exactly is included in the price. Do they get the rental, do they get the linens? what's really involved so there are no surprises later."
The Better Business Bureau says brides should do research on vendors before you go.
And ask the right questions find out if the vendor is available on your wedding date and keep your budget in mind.
"Sometimes the brides fall in love with stuff they really can't afford and then it makes it stressful."
You should also get all promises in writing document everything.
And of course bring someone you trust Sara Jane brought her mom and with her help she'll get through it all as long as she follows her own advice.
"It's gonna be one day and it's gonna be beautiful and something to remember but the important part is the marriage afterwards," said Sarah Jane.
And some useful advice; if there's food, try it!
