History was made last night as the Lady Bears won the Big 12 Championship for the third consecutive year after defeating Iowa State 75-47.
The NO. 1 Lady Bears dominated the game, leaving the NO. 23 Cyclones struggling to keep up.
The Cyclones went more than eight minutes without scoring, a span in which they missed six shots and had eight turnovers while Baylor scored 19 points in a row for a double-digit lead that only got bigger.
Brittney Griner scored 23 of her 31 points by halftime, out scoring Iowa State by 10 on her own.
"We came out, just clicking you know, and it showed throughout the game in the first half. And we came out in the second half still doing the same thing we did in the first," Griner said.
When you count the Big 12 tournament, the Lady Bears have won 49 conference games in a row and now have 3 Big 12 tournament titles.
